What is Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)?
Mixing the individual arts, MMA has become an art of its own. Taking elements that work from each individual art, you will experience a style that is dynamic and practical. A full body workout, this will target muscle group you aren’t aware of.

Who is this class designed for?
This class is designed for anyone who is interested in learning how to all the different aspects of martial arts. MMA training will push your cardio in ways regular group classes can’t. Using dynamic exercises and movements, you will push your cardio beyond your limits. While you exercise, you will be learning how to punch, kick and grapple.

What will you learn in this class?
At the core, you will learn how to punch, kick and grapple correctly and safely. If you punch incorrectly, it is very easy to hurt your hand. If you kick incorrectly you can hurt your foot. If you attempt to grapple, you can easily hurt your partner. We will show you how the techniques are setup, so you know how to start. We will show you what parts of the body makes contact, so you avoid injuring yourself and your partner. We will also show you how to hold focus mits or pads, so you and your partner don’t get injured. In these classes, you will learn how to defend from someone attacking you, be it with a punch, kick, take-down or a submission.

What is the benefit of attending this class?
Our classes are designed to push our members. You will use a lot of energy and burn a lot of calories. You will learn the art of MMA and in doing so, you will learn how to defend yourself in situations. A big focus of our class is defense. You will be shown how to prevent someone from attacking you and how to safely move. This class is suited for anyone who is interested in pursuing MMA or wanting to learn how to defend themselves.
